Why AI training doesn't change how your firm operates — and what does.
Every professional services firm I talk to has tried training. The people come back better. The firm doesn't change. This session unpacks why that happens and walks through what actually moves the needle at an organisational level.

About this session
This is the session I wish I could give to every managing partner who's just signed off on a firm-wide AI training programme and is expecting it to solve the problem. It won't — not because the training is bad, but because training addresses individual competence and the real challenge is organisational capability. They're different problems that need different approaches.
I walk through real examples from consulting, legal, and advisory firms — what changed after training (individual confidence) and what didn't (shared standards, governance, leadership visibility). Then I show what a structured approach to organisational AI capability looks like in practice: starting from the work itself, not from a curriculum.
Questions this session answers
Why does training improve individuals without changing how the firm operates? What's the difference between AI usage and AI capability — and why does it matter commercially? And what does it actually look like when a professional services firm builds AI capability from within?
